Mine: Vodka on the rocks, twist of lime
Gin and tonic or Beer
Waaaaaaaaaay ahead of you, I have put down a variety of spirits. I’m a fiend for Mohitos, difficult to make at home though.
Screw the drinks, I'm literally taking PM cold medicines to knock me out just so I can sleep.
After work I had three Mai Tai’s then tried to go on the treadmill.
Starbucks Pike Place Roast and Bailey’s. You can have it right at your desk and nobody will know.
Green tea and a drop of honey.

Red wine…as long as your going to imbibe, might as well do it on $6.00 jug wine that’s supposed to clear the ole’ arteries. I turned 40 last year and my bride of 17 years made me give up Guinness and the Punch cigars. Lucky for her she’s hot (and gainfully employed).

Indy, you've got to keep all my toys straight. Zippy is the Mini, and Skippy is the Honda Reflex scooter. I got back from my drive with Zippy late. Or was it early? Anyway, the low fuel warning chimed in about ten miles from the ranch with no gas stations open. This morning I looked at Zippy, decided I didn't want to stop for gas so I hopped on Skippy for the ride to work today. Great machine in center city Philly traffic. What traffic? Riding a bike is cleansing. Good way to describe it Indy. Now I've got to get serious about finding another Iron Butt machine.Jack n Coke or vodka n lemonade just depending on who’s drinking with me.

I was waiting for that one. They are democrats! It's a bi-state bridge commission made up of politcal hacks. Right now the Govs of both Jersey and PA are dems and they apppoint the hangers on to the commission. However, it doesn't matter. When the repubs were in charge they too gave away the house to their friends and raised the tolls. This latest increase was 33%. The repubs doubled it twice within five years when they controlled the purse strings. So, in the end, it doesn't matter who is in charge. And go one county north, to Burlington County NJ, it's a repub strong hold. They control two bridges to PA. That bridge commission is also a patronage pit with indictments coming down from the U.S. district attorney. Again, both sides are greedy bastards. PA has its share of these in the grand canyon area up around Wellsboro, as well as the roads south and west of Lancaster/York.
A typical ride would be I95 south to Newark Delaware and then west on 896 to the Lancaster area, and then south and west ending up at Harpers Ferry WVA. Or super slab it to Winchester VA and then hit the two lane twisites between Shenendoah and the Monongahela National Forest. It's all good. Ice, nope, just a normal run of the mill S. I spec’d the car for a mix between normal commuter duty and high performance fun. Thus, a six speed manual, but no handling package with its shake your teeth ride. I did up size the tires. The car is plenty capable in standard trim.
Indy, 135 mph, that's what side streets are for! Actually, 135 was done on an empty interstate at about 1am the other night. It's an area that i've been ringing out car/bikes for years. No danger to anyone but myself. The car is amazingly planted at speed. More so than my Mustang Cobra ever was. Though the Cobra would put the Mini down in a street fight. As far as speed on twisties goes: I was coming down this mountain road somewhere in West Virgnia going as fast as i was comfortable, maybe 60-70. I was having a great time hanging on thru the curves, upshifting downshifting mashing the gas through the power curve, until i looked in my rear view and saw a mirror full of Peterbilt grill. A bulk carrier was tailgating me down the mountain! Those mountain truckers sure know a thing or two about driving those roads. And a humbling experience it was. I learned my lesson about excessive speed years ago on one of those roads. I was way too hot coming into an assending switchback curve riding a 1200cc bike. First i crossed the double yellow, then i passed an on coming dump truck to its right, then i crossed the on coming lane's white fog line, and then I did everything i could not to hit the guard rail and take the roughly 1000 foot ride to the bottom of the ravine. I managed to miss the rail by inches and somehow didn't ruin my underwear. Ironically, the guy I was riding with that day, Jim Young, took the turn much more slowly than I. I say ironically because about a year later Jim was killed in Colorado when he entered a curve too hot on his BMW R1100GS slid off the road and over a 90 foot cliff. He's buried at Ft Indiantown Gap. Trips to visit his grave serve as a reminder that if it can happen to the best it can happen to the rest. Ferris, sorry about the hijack. We do ride and drive to bars at times. You know, the little dive places most people are afraid of. Usually for a few beers. I can tell you from those experiences that Paw Paw West Virginia has two places of employment, a munitions factory and a strip bar.
