Lucy von Brachel is Senior Photography Specialist at Winston Art Group, the leading independent art appraisal and advisory firm. Lucy is a certified member of the Appraisers Association of America (AAA) with a specialization in Fine Art and Historical Photography. She has evaluated numerous fine art photography collections, including large archival collections, for insurance, donation and estate tax purposes.
Throughout her career of more than 20 years in the photography market, Lucy has served as Collections Manager of the encyclopedic collection of photographs at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for six years and was the Associate Director of Photographs at Swann Galleries, also for six years.
Lucy holds her BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design. She began her career exploring her passion for photographs and their status in the art market at a renowned New York City gallery specializing in photographs. In addition to appraisal services, Lucy offers collection management and acquisition advisory services for both private and corporate photograph collectors.
