Easing the Affordable Housing Epidemic for Working Americans Through Impact Investing

The scarcity of affordable, safe and well-maintained housing has created a crisis for working class Americans.

We see them every day; the backbone of America ... proud, hardworking people, from all walks of life, trying to provide adequate housing for their families. They don’t want a government handout; they just want a decent, affordable place to live.

They serve our communities: policemen, firemen, EMTs, military and public works. They work in our grocery stores, restaurants and daycare facilities. They work in our yards; paint our houses; drive school buses and change the oil in our cars. They are receptionists; general labors; barbers and assembly line workers. Too many of these people pay more than they can afford on housing, or live in less than tolerable conditions.
